Speedboat to Tempelfjord and Tuna Glacier

Take part in the thrilling experience of riding to the heart of the Sassen-Bunsow Land National Park!

Our route travels northeast out of Longyearbyen, and the fjords we explore are filled with wildlife and surrounded by dynamic landscapes.

After driving our boat out of Advent Fjord and following the coast of Isfjord, we will cross through the extensive Sassenfjord and then stop to have a view from the sea over Fredheim to explore the historic trapper cabin where Hilmar Nøis famously spent 38 winters of his life!

We’ll proceed across Tempelfjord to reach the massive blue front of Tuna Glacier. As we enjoy the beauty and solitude there, we will share a warm lunch together floating among icebergs

The mountains in this area are formed by sedimentary layers that make stunning castle-like formations which this territory is famous for. As we pass along the rugged coastline, we will be able to see sedimentary layers which expose Svalbard’s geologic history.

During the trip, we will try our luck to spot seals resting on the icebergs, observe birds, and maybe even whales. If we are very fortunate, we will have a good polar bear sighting!

Join us on this seven hour trip through Svalbard’s wilderness to visit Tempelfjord and the stunning Tuna Glacier. This is an adventure you won’t forget!
